We are a registered charity, who restore, maintain and operate the mill and steam engine, and run the visitor centre and tea room. We organise various events through the year, conduct tours, give talks and lectures and are involved in outreach work in the community.
Shirley’s Mill is a listed building and scheduled monument. We need members to support our work with a small annual subscription, help when they can with maintaining and managing this important heritage asset and to work with us to build an exciting future for the Etruria Industrial Museum. There has never been a better time to become a member. To join, complete the online form by clicking below.

This is a registered charity who restore, maintain and operate the mill and steam engine, and run the visitors centre and tea room. They also organise various events through the year, conduct tours, give lectures and are involved in outreach work in the community. The mill group meets at the Museum every Thursday evening between 7.15pm and 9.15pm and the site group between 10.00am and 3.00pm every Friday to plan and carry out work in teams.
At present we are looking for people with free time to help with warming the boiler before each of the 5 steaming weekends and others to help in the tea room and front of house during the weekends.
